    Very long delivery time

    Overall winter outfit for the next winter

    I wanted a snowsuit that will be used next winter. The pictures on the website, showing the snowsuit on children of different sizes (same size but different height), helped me with the size assessment. Based on that, I dared to make an estimate and order the snowsuit. It is waiting in the closet and looks really high quality and suitable for heavy use for a 6-year-old boy.

    Warm and fair sizing. I first ordered a 104cm suit from a different brand on an online second-hand site, but it was small for our approximately 100cm child. The Reima 104cm suit has been suitable for the -20°C January frosts, and it comfortably fits merino wool and fleece layers as well as a wool sweater underneath. On the downside, the hood isn’t particularly warm, and if you fasten the Velcro, it ends up in front of the chin and mouth, irritating the skin. A Karelia-style hood would better protect the cheeks from the wind, even if it were open underneath the chin. There are no snow locks on the legs in this model, but the cuffs seem durable and work well if you have taller boots.

    Weak knees on the suit

    Unfortunately, moisture permeable at the legs

    We have now been able to test the suit in wind and weather, and unfortunately, my son gets wet legs and socks every time after playing in the snow. It lacks an extra liner like ski pants that also wraps around the boots, thus preventing the entry of snow. The pants do not have such a double liner; they are just like any normal pants. The elastic band does not help either. It's a real shame because the suit is otherwise really great as described, but it is not suitable for rough play in the snow, skiing, and sledding.

    so far ok but has quality issues

    my son has only worn it maybe 8 times since I purchase it back in November. he attends A nature based preschool and is outdoors rain/snow or shine so I had wash it twice (following care instructions of course) already when its muddy. but just last week, I saw the reflector tape on the sleeve already peeling. kind of surprised that it didn't last 2 washes. I will be contacting customer service.
